fischerAppelt AG achieves €25.75 million in fee turnover in 2009
Hamburg, 9 March, 2010. fischerAppelt AG is succeeding despite the economic crisis, having just posted fee earnings totalling €25.75 million for business year 2009. This result represents a slight decline in turnover in comparison to the previous year (€26.8 million). Total turnover increased from €44.2 million to €45 million. “Last year, we further optimised the interaction of the various disciplines within the agency group. This is reflected by, among other things, the increase in the number of integrated campaigns realised”, says Andreas Fischer-Appelt, owner and Managing Director of fischerAppelt AG. “Despite the slight decline, our result once again surpassed the average market trend even in this difficult year of 2009.” The group’s clients include, just to name a few, the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Government Labour Agency), Daimler, the Knappschaft (miner’s guild), GlaxoSmithKline and Microsoft.

fischerAppelt boosts fee income in 2008 by 11% to €26.8 million
Hamburg, 10 March 2009 – fischerAppelt continued its positive sales trend of recent years in 2008: having generated a fee income of €24.1 million the previous year, the agency group succeeded in topping this figure by more than 11% in 2008 to generate €26.8 million. Total turnover grew from €39.7 million to €44.2 million with the average number of employees rising from 212 to 225. “As well as being generated by the expansion of our core disciplines, PR, advertising, design, TV and management consulting, the growth primarily resulted from the optimised interaction between these fields within the Federation of Ideas and from the implementation of cross-discipline projects,” says Andreas Fischer-Appelt. fischerAppelt provided integrated communication in 2008 for clients such as the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Government Labour Agency), Deutsche Telekom, Saxony’s Tourism Marketing Agency, and the Knappschaft (miners’ guild).

Holmes Report Award: fischerAppelt is the Most Popular Employer among European PR Agencies
Hamburg/New York, December 16, 2008. The fischerAppelt Group of agencies is the most popular employer among PR specialists in Continental Europe. This was the result obtained by the international industry service “The Holmes Report” in its study entitled “EMEA Consultancy Report Card.” The most important agencies in all of Europe are presented each year and evaluated by PR specialists in various categories. In the current industry analysis — which is to be officially published at the end of December 2008 — fischerAppelt once again, after the year 2005, is regarded as the most popular employer on the market in Continental Europe compared with top international competitors. “We are particularly proud of this award because it underscores for us as an agency that not only the technical, but also the personal development of our staff is crucial to our success,” comments agency founder and managing director Andreas Fischer-Appelt. Presentation of the award to fischerAppelt as the “Best Continental Consultancy to Work For” will take place as part of the Sabre Awards on May 21, 2009 in Stockholm.

fischerAppelt’s international PR network PROI is the network with the second highest growth in the world
Hamburg/New York, September 30, 2008 – The international PR network Public Relations Organisation International (PROI), which includes fischerAppelt as its sole German agency, increased its total turnover in 2007 by 35.5% to US$286 million. This growth rate was the second highest of an agency network during this period. This is the result of a current survey by the industry service Holmes Group of New York. Compared with the previous year, PROI rose five places to place seven in the ranking. “PROI’s growth and position in the worldwide ranking show that independent networks are now competing as equals with centrally controlled management networks,” stated Andreas Fischer-Appelt, general manager of fischerAppelt and vice president of PROI for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. The independent network currently comprises 54 owner-operated PR agencies in 29 countries.

Andreas Fischer-Appelt confirmed as vice president of the agency network Public Relations Organisation International (PROI)
Hamburg/Peking, June 23rd, 2008 – Andreas Fischer-Appelt, managing director of the fischerAppelt agency group has once again been elected as vice president for the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) at the annual conference of the international network Public Relations Organisation International (PROI) in Peking. Fischer-Appelt has held this office since the year 2006. Together with vice president Philipp Roffey and as a member of the international management board he is responsible for the expansion of the network in Eastern Europe as well as shaping the company’s international business. “I am pleased to take part in the continued development of PROI in my capacity as vice president,” commented Andreas Fischer-Appelt. “With partners in 28 countries and 85 cities, the network represents a real counterbalance to international agency brands that are operated by their respective management staff.” Public Relations Organisation International (PROI) is the world’s largest association of owner-managed PR agencies. fischerAppelt is the only German member agency in the organisation.

fischerAppelt increases gross income by 32.4 percent in 2007
Hamburg, March 10th, 2008 – The fischerAppelt group continues its growth. Following increases by 14 percent in 2005 and 20 percent in 2006, the gross income of the Hamburg based public relations agency grew by another 32.4 percent to €24.1 Mio in 2007. The total revenue rose from €30 Mio to €39.7 Mio. The average number of employers increased by a fourth from 166 to 212. „We could strengthen our market position especially in the fields of advertising, internet and public relations.“, Andreas Fischer-Appelt comments the agency's last year performance. Advertising for instance contributed 33 percent to the revenue of fischerAppelt and therewith grew by 18 percent. „Campaigns for clients such as Knappschaft, the Federal Employment Agency and the German Energy Agency supported that growth“, Fischer-Appelt, one of the two agency owners, adds. A leading factor for the success has been the integrated realisation of advertising campaigns.

fischerAppelt Kommunikation buys TV production subsidiary from DaimlerChrysler AG and opens new location in Stuttgart
Stuttgart/Hamburg, May 24, 2007. fischerAppelt Kommunikation has further expanded its business with moving images by purchasing DaimlerChrysler tv.media GmbH in Stuttgart. DaimlerChrysler AG (stock symbol DCX) is selling its fully owned subsidiary and TV production firm to the Hamburg agency group as per June 1, 2007. The parties have agreed to maintain secrecy concerning the purchase price.

Record year for fischerAppelt Kommunikation: 20 per cent growth to 18,2 million euros charge turnover
Hamburg, on March 6th 2007 –with a 18,2 million euros charge turnover in 2006 fischerAppelt Kommunikation finishes a record year. In contrast to the preceding year the charge turnover increased by approx. 20 per cent. The total turnover was at 30 million euros and the number of steady employees grew from 158 to 166. „Especially the increasing demand in the fields of financial communication, brand communication, pharmaceutical and media provided the growth spurt“, said Andreas Fischer-Appelt about the annual balance sheet. He continued by saying „For the current year we expect a likewise good development.“

Hamburg, May 11th 2006 – Andreas Fischer-Appelt, co-founder and managing director of the largest owner-managed agency group fischerAppelt Kommunikation is the new vice president of the network „Public Relations Organization International, Inc. (PROI)“. On the occasion of the annual convention of the network last weekend in Berlin the 41 year old agency owner was elected as successor of Dr. Marcel Trachsel and together with vice president Philip Roffey he is responsible for the region EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The election of a German agency representative reveals the increasing significance of international communication services for German companies. „In Germany a vast growth of international business can be noted over the last years“, Fischer-Appelt comments on the market development. „Many large and internationally active companies are having their roots and their headquarters in Germany and are demanding more and more internationally oriented services.“
